- New York native James Avatar is a Digital Media Artist, Music Composer, Photographer, Singer/Songwriter and Multimedia artist. His work history includes co-founding the art collective BROOKLYN MEDIA LAB (2002-2004), serving as music director for the animated online series WHIRLGIRL and songwriter for the Brooklyn "Kid-Indie" Rock Band AUDRA ROX.After completing a new multimedia class for a New York Middle School's after school program, James is creative director for AVATARDED MEDIA, an emerging art collective and multimedia production company in New Orleans, Louisiana.James is currently on assignment documenting events surrounding the #Occupy Wall Street Movement in New York City. He has curated the "99% ART Exhibition" at the Chelsea Arts Museum (10/15/11) and is social networking coordinator with OCCUPY RECORDS.ORG and a contributing writer for OCCUPY.COM.James is also performer/producer for the Jazz/Electronica music act "FILTER KINGZ" and is currently recording a new "Occupy"- inspired CD featuring emerging talent from New York and New Orleans.The first single "No Shame" is now available on iTunes.
